The list of ICAO Regions as defined in Appendix 1 to the Directives to Regional Air Navigation Meetings and Rules of Procedure for their Conduct (ICAO Doc 8144-AN/874).

Value Definition
AFI
AFRICA-INDIAN OCEAN region. The area embracing Africa and associated oceanic areas and land masses between 25 degrees W and 75 degrees E and south to the South Pole.
ASIA
ASIA region. The area south of the Asian part of the USSR territory, and embracing Pakistan, Japan and New Zealand, and associated oceanic areas and land masses eastward from 75 degrees E to 175 degrees W, to the South Pole.
CAR
CARIBBEAN region. The area embracing Mexico, Central America, the Bahamas and the West Indies.
EUR
EUROPEAN region. The area embracing Europe and the Asian part of the USSR territory, north to the North Pole, and including Turkey.
MID
MIDDLE EAST region. The area embracing that part of Asia west of Pakistan, but excluding Turkey and USSR territory.
NAM
NORTH AMERICAN region. The area embracing the United States and Canada and north to the North Pole.
NAT
NORTH ATLANTIC region. The North Atlantic area not covered by the NAM, CAR, SAM, EUR and AFI Regions, and north to the North Pole.
PAC
PACIFIC region. The Pacific area not covered by the NAM, CAR, SAM and ASIA Regions, and south to the South Pole.
SAM
SOUTH AMERICAN region. The area embracing South America and the associated oceanic areas and land masses between 25 degrees W and 90 degrees W and south to the South Pole.
